Q2. What inspired you to build HashMix？
Answer: Our original intention was to lower the threshold for individual investors to participate in Defi.
Firstly, we launched Filecoin Lending, and individual investors can easily earn higher returns. That was a huge success, reaching $100 million TVL at one point.
Then we noticed that the IC ecosystem has been developing and expanding rapidly. Its official governance system: Network Nervous System (NNS) is one of the biggest Dapp in the IC ecosystem.
But due to the lock-up period of at least half a year and complex voting strategies, joining NNS and getting rewards is difficult. The direct result of this is that many individual investors are shut out. Not only is it a significant loss for individual investors, but it is also a restriction for NNS that hurdles the further increase of TVL.
We are here to solve the problem for individual investors and boost staking, governance & DeFi infrastructures of the IC ecosystem.
Q3. Why do you choose to build on IC? How can IC benefit HashMix？
Answer: IC is a pioneer of Web 3.0, which combines the Internet and blockchain — Internet Computer. The Internet Computer is an open-and-programmable platform that allows developers to build programs and applications directly on it. Its appearance has completely changed the future development direction of the blockchain. The Internet Computer incorporates on-chain governance, a more diverse and richer component development, and blockchain native data storage capabilities to lower the entry threshold for developers, thereby revolutionizing the paradigm for building applications.
The Internet Computer has these advantages: stable cycle(gas), reverse gas model, running smart contracts at web speed, Web 3.0 full-stack architecture, Chain Key cross-chain technology, unlimited expansion, seamless expansion, and so on.
Besides, The IC ecosystem has been developing and expanding rapidly and it still has huge potential. That’s why HashMix chose Internet Computer.
Q4. What functions are currently implemented in HashMix？
Answer: Currently, only the ICP Staking pool is available on HashMix ICP Finance.
ICP Staking pool is an on-demand pool where users can stake their ICP without amount limitation and earn relatively high profits. The underlying pool of HashMix ICP Staking is the 8-year Staking node of the Dfinity Network Nervous System, which ensures the security and high profit of the HashMix ICP staking pool.
We also have a referral system: You can get 1% of the staking interest of anyone who registered via your referral link. The 1% reward is from HashMix, and the invitee’s profit will remain unchanged. Q5. How HashMix’s Liquid Staking Solution Works?
Answer: IC staking pools on HashMix will have different usage limits to provide different liquidity solutions, allowing users to balance yield and liquidity by themselves. Take the 80% usage pool as an example: 80% of ICP in the pool ICP will be staking to the NNS 8 years pool, and 80% of the ICP de-neuron network pledge for 8 years, remaining 20% for on-demand liquidity.
Q6. What is the NNS governance voting decision of Neuron at the bottom of the Staking Pool of HashMix ICP?
Answer: It’s not launched yet, but the basic plan is as follows:
We keep the voting selection of the nodes we followed as primary elections, but users also have the right to disagree. Users can vote for or against a proposal at any time. When more than 50% of ICP vote for “no”, we will modify the options for this proposal.

If the node vote ‘Yes’, half of ICP on HashMix vote ‘Yes’, or the total number of ICP participating in the voting does not exceed 50%, we will just follow the node; if more than 50% of the ICP on HashMix votes ‘No’, we will revert the voting of the node. And vice versa.
Q7. What is the current stage of HashMix development?
Answer: Right now, we’ve launched our ICP staking service for months and attracted more than 20k ICP deposits. For the decentralized application deployed on the canister, we’ve finished the MVP, including staking and voting services, the next step is testing and optimization. We’ll launch it once it’s ready.
